Polo Club
Although Polo Club neighborhood is secluded and private, it is just south of Cherry Creek, a busy and popular shopping area. Just a bike ride away is the popular Wash Park and the 40-mile Cherry Creek bike path. Polo Club began as - you guessed it - a Polo Club on the grounds of Denver Country Club in teh 20s and 30s. When polo lost its popularity in the mid 30s, sprawling homes were built in the area and a home owners association was created to preserve privacy in the neighborhood.
The architecture in the neighborhood is diverse - Greek and Gothic revivals, Tudors, Colonial mansions, and modern style mansions. On north-western edge of the Polo Club you can find more modest type ranch homes. But for the most part, homes fill up huge lots, with impressive front yards and trees.
