About Evergreen CO
You are in: Evergreen Real Estate > About Evergreen
Evergreen is a small town of about 9,000 residents in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Located at an elevation of about 7,220 feet, its scenic location makes it one of Colorado’s most desirable residential areas. Evergreen is surrounded by thousands of acres of land in the Denver Mountain Parks and Jefferson County Open Space park systems. Evergreen Lake sits above the downtown area, offering residents opportunities for skating and other recreation. Nearby Echo Mountain Park is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders, with the skiing season often lasting from late November to early May.
Due to its superbly picturesque location, real estate in Evergreen, which consists almost exclusively of single-family homes, can be extremely expensive. Although smaller homes can be purchased for $100,000-$300,000, the average home is listed at around $400,000. And there are some private estates that can sell for between $10 million and $20 million.
