Most homes in Firelight are two-story homes, which is the pre-dominant style in all newer Highlands Ranch neighborhoods. A few Ranch style homes are sprinkled in between. Prices range from just under $300,000 up to about $700,000. The avearage price per square foot has recently hovered around $150/square foot. Ranch style houses typically go for more - around $180-$200/square foot.
Firelight subdivision is one of the larger subdivisions in Highlands Ranch with over 1500 single family homes. Most homes were built from around 2000 to 2005. Firelight consists of homes by several builders including Shea Homes, Joyce Homes, Beazer/Sanford and Ryland Homes.
Firelight community is located in the Southern part of Highlands Ranch and a large portion of Firelight borders the BackCountry wilderness area. Firelight residents can enjoy what the open space has to offer from their doorsteps with majestic views and trails and paths meandering in the open space.
Copper Mesa Elementary School is located in Firelight subdivision, alongside Poston Parkway. Students living in Firelight belong to the Douglas County School District which is highly ranked in Colorado. The middle school is Mountain Ridge and the High School is Mountain Vista, which is located on the West of Firelight. Some of the students also go to Heritage Elementary School which is located in a nearby subdivision. (School assignments may change from time to time. Please check with Douglas Cty School district).
Along with trails and bike paths a large park/playground is tucked in Firelight. The Redtail Park sits at the edge of the community overlooking a greenbelt and has super views of the Rocky Mountains.
Firelight has its own Home Owners Association (sub-association) and residents also belong to Highlands Ranch Master Home Owners Association which among other things gives residents access to Highlands Ranch recreations centers and trails.
