Government and Public Services
Those who live in Highlands Ranch homes are governed by the Metro District Board of Directors. This is an elected board that consists of seven people who represent the entire community. In addition, there are also five members that represent Metro District 5. The Public Works Department is responsible for managing water, sewer, utilities, roads and traffic signals. Highlands Ranch also has its own public safety, fire and emergency services division to serve its residents.
