If you are a golfing enthusiast who has just moved or is planning to move to Denver, you’ll find no shortage of excellent golf courses to choose from. There are a variety of different clubs and courses around the city, each of which boasts its own unique scenery and loyal clientele, but all of which offer a number of amenities, beautiful scenery, and excellent service. Read on for details regarding some of the most highly rated golf communities in the greater Denver area.
Castle Pines Village
Castle Pines golf course is located in Douglas County, which is just a quick fifteen-minute drive from downtown Denver. It is nestled amongst expansive shade trees, and boasts some beautiful Rocky Mountain scenery. Its clientele largely consist of residents of the Denver suburbs, though it is not necessary to reside in Douglas County to become a member of the Castle Pines Country Club. In addition to its impressive golf course, the club also boasts tennis courts, a fitness center, and an upscale dining center.
Denver Country Club
For those looking for a gold course a bit closer to the city, Denver Country Club may be the answer. This course is located in an upscale neighborhood right in the center of downtown Denver. Its course is one of the city’s best rated, but the community also offers a variety of other activities for members, including musical performances, an excellent in-house restaurant, a fitness center, and a variety of other amenities.
Cherry Creek Golf Course
If you’ve ever taken a bike ride down the Cherry Creek trail, you may have noticed signs for the Cherry Creek Country Club. Like the course that is owned by the Denver Country Club, this particular golf course is also placed at a convenient location for city dwellers. Since it is located in a somewhat more suburban community, it also provides members with the feeling that they are getting away from the bustle of the downtown area. It also boasts some of the most extensive full-service amenities in the area, offering a spa, fitness center, restaurant, and a variety of entertainment options.
Denver also offers golf communities and country clubs that are targeted toward families. Heritage Greens is one of these communities. In addition to a golf course, the club also offers a number of organized activities and entertainment options for the younger members of the family, who may not have the patience to play eighteen holes. The club also includes a swimming pool, restaurant, tennis court, and outdoor playground for the kids.
Choosing one gold community membership in Denver may actually be a bit overwhelming, since there is such a range of options. There are dozens more in addition to those listed above, all of which are scattered around the city limits. Your best bet is to visit a few of the most conveniently located clubs to get a sense of which place would be the best fit—both socially and financially—for you and your family.
